Mercy College is a Catholic Secondary Girls’ College with a proud and rich history of education in the local Coburg area and surrounding suburbs.

We are currently seeking a Director of Learning and Teaching for an ongoing full-time teaching position, with a two year Position of Leadership appointment (POL 4), commencing January 2026. Applications are invited from passionate educators committed to inspiring student success and contributing to a collaborative, dynamic learning environment.
The Director of Learning and Teaching is a key strategic leader who will shape and strengthen the College’s learning culture. This position requires a visionary educator who can effectively monitor and analyse learning outcomes across individual students, specific cohorts and the College as a whole.
The successful applicant will demonstrate a deep commitment to advancing girls’ education and to developing and implementing educational practices that empower and inspire students to achieve their full potential.
Appointees are expected to show understanding of and commitment to the Catholic ethos of the College. Mercy College is committed to creating and maintaining a child safe environment in which students feel safe and are safe. A condition of employment is that the applicant is deemed to be suitable to work with children.
