Role Description/Criteria
St Patrick's is committed to the safety, wellbeing and care of all children and upholds all child safe standards as an expectation of all in the school community. Staff are required to meet child safety checks as part of the application process.
Selection Criteria - Successful applicants will be expected to demonstrate:
- Demonstrate a commitment to the Catholic Ethos, principles of Catholic teaching, and living the school's vision and values.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the St Patrick’s Child Safe Policy and ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Code of Conduct.
- Commit to teaching in alignment with the ³Ô¹Ï²»´òìÈ Vision for Instruction.
- Embrace and implement an explicit instruction approach, drawing on evidence-based teaching and learning programs.
- Build strong interpersonal relationships and contribute positively within a collaborative team environment.
- Create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom that supports both academic growth and social-emotional wellbeing.
- Deliver differentiated instruction that is evidence-based and responsive to the diverse learning needs of all students.
- Uphold an unwavering commitment to the safety and wellbeing of children.
- Demonstrate knowledge in the design, development, monitoring, implementation and reporting of the Victorian Curriculum.
- Have experience analysing a range of student data to target individual needs and planning for differentiated learning
- Demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills.
Special Requirements:
- Accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School or a demonstrated commitment to obtain accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School
- Current Victorian Institute of Teaching registration (including provisional)
