Role Description/Criteria
 The successful applicant will;
- Have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and the safety and well-being of young people
- Be committed to working as part of a collaborative team that works together to maximise learning for every student
- Embrace the pedagogical approaches used at St Francis Xavier and be a reflective practitioner
- Have the ability to differentiate and personalise learning to meet the needs of each student, including those with additional needs
- Be open to feedback for growth and act upon it appropriately
- Be prepared to support the broader life of the school, including the Sacramental program, camps and community events
- Hold current Victorian Institute of Teaching registrationÂ
- Have an understanding of the Victorian Curriculum: Visual Arts and how to effectively enact this in the classroom
St Francis Xavier Primary School is committed to the safety and well-being of all children and young people. All staff are expected to uphold and enact this commitment in their roles and ensure that all required professional learning is completed annually. It is expected that staff are familiar with the St Francis Xavier Child Safe Policy and Code of Conduct and adhere to both at all times. All Child Safe Policies and Procedures are reviewed annually with staff or upon appointment.
At St Francis Xavier, there is zero tolerance for racism or discrimination of any sort, and staff are expected to act on any incidents of such behaviour. All students at St Francis Xavier are supported in expressing their culture and enjoying their cultural rights.Â
